    Review for Missing
    Author: Jasmine Cresswell

Reviewer Comments: Megan Raven is shocked to discover that her father, Ron, was a bigamist. He was married to her mother for thirty-five years and to another woman for twenty-seven years. He kept one family in a penthouse in Chicago and the other on a ranch in Wyoming. Supposedly on a business trip, Ron disappears leaving his room a bloody mess and owing three million dollars to a bank.

The bank manager is Ron’s Chicago wife’s brother. Adam Fairfax is furious that Ron deceived his sister and his family. He is out for revenge when he calls the bank note that used the Wyoming ranch as collateral. After meeting with Megan, Adam decides to work with Megan to track down the missing money.

It’s obvious that Ms. Cresswell is a woman who has traveled the world. In Missing we are taken from Miami to Wyoming, Chicago to Mexico, and to Peru. She gives detailed information about all of the settings enabling her readers to view the scene. Unfortunately, the book is not about the settings and is about a missing man. The story contained a line about a budding relationship between two people who society would frown upon getting together, but mainly focused on Megan's missing father.

Adam and Megan know that they face many problems from their families because of Ron’s infidelity but decide to pursue a sexual relationship. Their new relationship is tested by Megan’s withholding information and Adam’s inability to trust Megan. The situation is ridiculous because Megan already knew about Adam’s issues with her and yet she disregarded them.

Another problem I had was with the sheer number of characters that were introduced and then ignored. This may be because Missing is the first book in a trilogy, but it really irritated me. I felt like this book was about Ron and the romance was secondary which makes me question the book being marketed as a romantic suspense.
